Kylene Spiegel
Head Coach

Kylene Spiegel is in her first season as head coach of Lawrence Tech. Spiegel started her coaching career directly following her playing days at Tiffin as a graduate assistant. Following her two-year stint as graduate assistant she was hired as a full-time assistant for Tiffin starting the 2011-12 season. She left her Dragon family in 2014 after eight years in Tiffin, to become the assistant coach at NCAA Division I program Kent State (Ohio) University under head coach Danielle O’Banion.

Spiegel, a Morenci, Michigan native, was a four-year student-athlete at Tiffin (Ohio) University where she amassed 1,105 career points and graduated with a degree in Sports Management as well as a master’s degree in Business Leadership. She currently owns the career (468) and single-season (143) assist records at Tiffin and was named All-Conference and received All-Independent honors during her playing days as a Dragon.

Spiegel arrives at Lawrence Tech following the Blue Devils most successful season in its four-year infancy. The program won a program high 24 games last year and earned a spot in the 2015-16 NAIA Division II National Tournament in Sioux City, Iowa – an athletic department first.

Spiegel is returning to her home state 12 years after starting her college playing career and six years following her coaching debut at Tiffin.

Spiegel resides in Southfield, Mich.
